The law is standardly conceived as the ultimate instrument of social order, justice, and governance. However, the legal system is neither omnipotent nor boundless. The "Limits of Law" inquiry examines the structural, moral, practical, and conceptual boundaries beyond which legal regulation becomes inefficient, unjust, or counterproductive. This paper explores the jurisprudential constraints on legal intervention, analyzing where the law must yield to individual liberty, moral pluralism, structural feasibility, and institutional capacity.
