Abstract

This article examines the use of case studies in teaching professional English to cyber security students. In modern cyber security education, students need more than technical knowledge; they also need the ability to explain problems, discuss risks, justify decisions, and communicate solutions clearly in English. Case studies provide realistic learning situations where students analyze cyber incidents, discuss possible causes, evaluate solutions, and present recommendations. The article explores how case-based learning can improve students' professional vocabulary, speaking fluency, critical thinking, and confidence in English communication. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study discusses the pedagogical value of case studies in English for Specific Purposes classes. The article concludes that case studies are an effective method for connecting language learning with real professional contexts in cyber security education.
