Abstract

Electronic Contract – these are contracts concluded through electronic means such as the internet, mobile applications, and electronic platforms. These contracts are regulated under civil law. They have the same legal force as traditional paper-based contracts. Their legal basis consists of electronic signatures, electronic authentications, and electronic payment systems. An electronic signature is the main tool ensuring the validity of a contract. Electronic authentication is considered one of the key indicators of the parties’ identity. Electronic payment systems serve as the legal guarantee for the performance of obligations arising from the contract. Data protection provides legal safeguards for the confidentiality of personal and commercial information.
