This thesis analyzes the pedagogical opportunities for developing functional mathematical literacy among primary school students. Particular attention is paid to developing students’ abilities to apply mathematical knowledge in real-life situations, solve mathematical problems independently, analyze information, and evaluate results. The effective pedagogical conditions and methodological approaches for developing functional mathematical literacy are substantiated.
