The article analyzes the role of leadership in the successful management of small businesses and the main requirements for them. In order to ensure the competitiveness of small businesses in today's global economic environment, it is shown that managers need innovative thinking, the ability to make strategic decisions, communicative potential and the ability to inspire the team.
