The article analyzes the linguodidactic basis of teaching English grammar in secondary education within the framework of modern language pedagogy. Grammar instruction is viewed as an essential element in the formation of grammatical competence, which serves as a structural component of communicative competence. The study substantiates that grammar teaching should not be limited to rule memorization but should be organized as a meaningful, functional, and learner-oriented process. Special attention is given to the alignment of grammar instruction with international educational standards, particularly the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The findings confirm that a linguodidactic approach creates theoretical prerequisites for applying structured instructional models and innovative teaching tools in grammar instruction.
