This thesis explores the role of Augmented Reality (AR) in improving vocabulary retention among English language learners. With the advancement of educational technologies, AR has emerged as a powerful tool that can create immersive and interactive learning environments. The paper discusses how AR applications, such as 3D visualizations and real-world overlays, can engage learners more effectively than traditional methods, leading to better memory retention and contextual understanding of vocabulary items. The study also reviews existing literature, presents practical examples of AR use in English language teaching, and highlights the challenges of integrating AR into classroom settings, particularly in developing contexts.
