USING THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM TO DEVELOP COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN ESL ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Abstract
This study explores the effectiveness of the flipped classroom in enhancing communicative competence among learners of English as a second language. The research focuses on how pre-class exposure to instructional materials combined with in-class communicative activities can promote active learning and language use. By examining patterns of student participation, interaction, and language performance, the study aims to identify the pedagogical value of flipped learning in ESL contexts. The findings suggest that the flipped classroom approach can contribute to improved learner engagement, increased opportunities for communication, and the development of practical language skills.
