Abstract

This study explores the linguocultural and linguomoral features of aphorisms in the English language, emphasizing their role as compact carriers of wisdom, moral guidance, and cultural values. English aphorisms are characterized by brevity, rhetorical devices such as metaphor, parallelism, and antithesis, and phonetic strategies like rhyme and alliteration. They reflect culturally embedded moral values, including pragmatism, individualism, industriousness, and social responsibility. The analysis highlights how linguistic form and cultural content interact to convey meaning, moral guidance, and social norms effectively. Understanding these features is essential for cross-cultural communication, translation studies, and linguistic education.
