This article focuses on the history and activities of Jewish citizens of Turkestan in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, as presented in literature and sources. An attempt is made to compare and analyze information on the history of Jewish citizens of Turkestan, particularly in Bukhara, Samarkand, and the Fergana region. An attempt is also made to study their economic, social, and cultural activities in the region, their way of life, and their relations with the Empire and the Turkestan government.
