Abstract

This article examines the life journeys, intellectual contributions, and cultural legacies of two eminent figures: Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov (1711–1765), the Russian polymath, and Mirzo Ulugbek (1394–1449), the Central Asian astronomer, mathematician, and ruler. Although they lived in different centuries and distinct cultural contexts, both men stand as symbols of the transformative power of knowledge. Their commitment to science, education, and cultural development highlights the universal quest for truth that transcends geography and history. By exploring their biographies, academic achievements, and the societal frameworks in which they operated, this article offers a comparative analysis that situates Lomonosov and Ulugbek in a global intellectual tradition.
