THE ROLE OF DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN ORGANIZING DISTANCE LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This thesis analyzes the role of digital platforms such as LMS (Learning Management Systems), MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses), and video conferencing systems in organizing distance learning in higher education based on international and local experiences. The functional capabilities, advantages, and challenges of these platforms in the educational process are scientifically examined. The development dynamics of the distance education system in Uzbekistan as of 2025, the processes of digital transformation in higher education institutions, and their impact on educational quality are evaluated. Furthermore, practical recommendations aimed at improving the effectiveness of distance education are proposed.
