Abstract

The rapid development of the digital economy has fundamentally transformed the nature of business activities and accelerated the transition toward electronic business models. This study examines the theoretical foundations of business and entrepreneurship in the context of the digital economy while identifying the key requirements and conditions necessary for the successful digitalization of small businesses. The research highlights the distinctions between business and entrepreneurship, emphasizing that business encompasses a broader range of economic activities supported by digital technologies, innovative business models, and electronic platforms. Particular attention is given to the role of information systems, digital technologies, and electronic commerce in improving business efficiency, competitiveness, and long-term sustainability. The study also analyzes the classification of business forms, entrepreneurial activities, and management approaches under digital transformation.
