This article examines the relationship between household income and consumption expenditure under inflationary conditions using Uzbekistan as a case study. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that inflation changes not only the general price level, but also the real purchasing power of household income, the structure of consumer demand, the ratio between necessary and discretionary spending, and the social sensitivity of different income groups to price shocks. In Uzbekistan, this issue is especially important because household consumption remains one of the key components of aggregate demand, while household income is strongly affected by wages, self-employment, transfers, remittances, regional differentiation, and state social policy.
