: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common but often underrecognized complication in men with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D). While ED significantly impairs quality of life and may serve as an early marker of vascular and autonomic neuropathy, previous epidemiological studies have reported highly variable prevalence rates ranging from 20% to 70%. A global estimate of ED prevalence in T1D populations is currently lacking. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to determine the pooled global prevalence of ED and identify key modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors associated with ED in men with T1D.
