Abstract

This article analyzes the role and importance of musical-theoretical disciplines in the development of students' musical thinking. The possibilities of such disciplines as music theory, solfeggio, harmony, polyphony, and analysis of musical works in forming musical perception, hearing ability, creative thinking and analytical approach in students are highlighted. Also, the inextricable link between theoretical knowledge and practical performing activities and effective methods of developing musical thinking through the use of modern educational technologies are considered.
