This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the classification of Uzbek folk instruments, the process of their historical formation, and their performance characteristics. Additionally, the performance traditions of national instruments such as the dutar, tanbur, rubab, gijjak, nay, surnay, karnay, and doira, as well as their unique technical and artistic capabilities, are analyzed. The article focuses on the role of folk instruments in national musical culture, their significance in shaping the aesthetic taste of the younger generation, and the preservation and development of traditional performance schools.
