Abstract

This article provides a scientific and pedagogical analysis of the priority areas for modernizing the primary education system within the framework of contemporary educational strategies in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author examines the formation of fundamental competencies in primary school students, the current implementation state of the National Curriculum, and existing challenges in the field of digitalization. Through the study of synthesizing advanced international practices (STEAM approach, PISA/PIRLS assessment criteria) with national pedagogical traditions, practical solutions and recommendations are developed regarding the quality enhancement of primary education, the transformation of teachers' professional skills, and the methodological analysis of textbooks.
