Ushbu tezis iqlim migratsiyasi tushunchasini, uning asosiy turlarini va xalqaro huquqiy maqomini tahlil qiladi. Terminologik noaniqliklardan boshlab IOM (XMT), UNHCR va xalqaro konvensiyalardagi ta’rif yondashuvlari ko‘rib chiqiladi. Iqlim migratsiyasining to‘rtta tasnifi: sekin/tez boshlanadigan hodisalar, ichki/xalqaro ko‘chishga asoslanadi. Joriy xalqaro huquqiy maqomning yetarli emasligi ko‘rsatilgan holda alohida xalqaro maqom yaratish zarurligi asoslanadi.
