One of the most important components of English grammar is articles , which are divided into two groups : the definite article (the) and the indefinite article ( a, an). Their correct usage plays in important role in expressing definiteness and indefiniteness in speech. The article analyzes their main usage rules , functions and problems encountered in the learning process.
