This article examines the distinctive features of the formation of courtyard spaces in Uzbekistan, considering their historical evolution, cultural significance, and architectural characteristics. Courtyard spaces have long played a central role in traditional residential design, reflecting climatic adaptation, social structure, and national identity. The study analyzes the spatial organization, functional zoning, and aesthetic elements of courtyards, highlighting their role in ensuring privacy, microclimate regulation, and family-centered living. Special attention is given to the transformation of courtyard spaces in modern urban conditions and the challenges of preserving traditional principles in contemporary architecture. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of sustainable and culturally responsive design practices in Uzbekistan.
