The article offers an exhaustive semantic analysis of English verbs of motion and direction. Moving beyond traditional syntax, the study explores internal structures such as Manner, Path, Cause, and Deixis. Using a mixed-methodological approach, incorporating data from the British National Corpus (BNC) and COCA, the research highlights the complex polysemy of motion verbs. Crucially, the study provides a comparative analysis with the Uzbek language, integrating the theories of local scholars like S. Muhamedova and M. Mirtojiev to demonstrate the typological differences between "Satellite-framed" (English) and "Verb-framed" (Uzbek) systems.
