Xitoy ligustrumi (Ligustrum sinense Lour.) turining tabiiy tarqalish areali sifatida Sharqiy Osiyoning subtropik hududlari, xususan Xitoy, Vyetnam, Koreya va Tayvan kabi mamlakatlar bo’lib. Bu tur o’zining yuqori moslashuvchanligi bilan boshqa turlardan ajralib turishi, bilan va ayniqsa turli iqlim va tuproq sharoitlarida ham barqaror o‘sish qobiliyatiga ega ekani bilan qadirlanadi. Shuningdik Xitoy ligustrumi o’simligi mo’tadil iqlim sharoitlarida o’sa oladi. Tabiatan tuproqqa talabchan emas sho‘rlangan, ohaktoshli, hamda qumloq tuproqlarda ham o’sib rivojlana oladi. O’simlikning eng ajralib turadigan xususiyatlaridan yana biri uning doimiy yashil buta bo‘lib, vegetativ ko‘payish xususiyati kuchli ekani, shuningdek, mevalari qish davomida o’simlikda saqklanib turi sababidan qushlarga ozuqa bo’la oladi va o’simlik urug’lari qushlar yordamida tarqalishi tufayli tez ko’payadi va ko’p hududni egalab oladi. ayrim xorijiy mamlakatlarda, ayniqsa AQSh va Avstraliyada Xitoy ligustrumio’simligi invaziv tur sifatida mahalliy floraga salbiy ta’sir ko‘rsatishi ham tatqiqotchilar tomonidan ilmiy manbalar asoslangan. Ammo o‘simlikning ekologik ahamiyati ham yuqori bo’lib, u changni ushlovchi, havoni tozalovchi, tuproq eroziyasini kamaytiruvchi va shaharlardagi bog’ va parklar landshaftlarida dekorativ maqsadlarda keng foydalaniladi. Xitoy ligustrumi (Ligustrum sinense.Lour) o’simligi turini manzarali bog‘dorchilikda rekreatsion hududlarda foydalanish va fitomeliorativ maqsadlarda samarali foydalanish imkonini yaratadi.
