In the research article "Affect and willingness to communicate in digital game-based learning", Hayo Renders and Sorada Wattana (2015) first described the benefits of digital games on students’ affective barriers in learning a second language and willingness to communicate as an example of other researchers’ Anyaegbu et al (2012) and Peterson’s (2012a, 2012b) previous studies investigating those aspects and trying to find answers to the following questions:
