CLINICAL AND MICROBIOLOGICAL FEATURES OF INFLAMMATORY COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH IMPLANT INSTALLATION

Dental implants are a widely used solution for tooth replacement due to their high success rate and long-term stability. However, inflammatory complications such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis remain significant challenges. These conditions arise from bacterial biofilm formation on the implant surface, leading to soft tissue inflammation and, in severe cases, bone loss. This thesis explores the clinical and microbiological aspects of these complications, focusing on their diagnosis, etiology, risk factors, and management strategies.
