This article analyzes the problem of loneliness among the elderly and its psychological and social consequences. The article presents the issues of demographics of aging, statistical changes in the world and Uzbekistan. It also analyzes state policy and presidential initiatives on social support for the elderly, reducing loneliness, and highlights the role of society and family in this process. Based on proposals and recommendations, ways to create a favorable social environment for the elderly are indicated.
