Zaytun daraxti (lotincha: Olea europaea) - zaytundoshlar oilasiga mansub, boʻyi 4 - 12 metrga boradigan, doim yashil subtropik daraxt. Yetishtiradigan asosiy mamlakatlar Yaqin Sharq va Oʻrta dengiz mamlakatlari — Ispaniya (2 mln. ga dan ortiq), Italiya (1,5 mln. ga), Gretsiya (500 ming ga) va Portugaliyadir. Ozarbayjon, Gruziya, Qrim, Turkmaniston, Rossiyaning Krasnodar oʻlkasida ham zaytunzorlar bor.
