Medicinal plants have been widely used since ancient times as an essential source of therapeutic substances. In modern pharmacology, the study of plant raw materials and the development of phytopreparations remain highly актуal due to the increasing demand for natural and safe medicines. This paper discusses the scientific basis for studying medicinal plant raw materials, methods of their analysis, and future prospects for phytomedicine development. Special emphasis is placed on the contribution of Abu Ali Ibn Sina (Avicenna), whose works significantly influenced the use of herbal medicines in both traditional and modern healthcare systems.
