Abstract

This article explores the transformation of gamification under the influence of artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies. While early gamification systems relied primarily on static elements such as points, badges, and leaderboards, recent developments have introduced adaptive and personalized approaches driven by AI, data analytics, and immersive technologies, including virtual and augmented reality. The study examines how these innovations enhance user engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes, with particular attention to their application in language education. Examples of AI-powered platforms demonstrate how gamification has evolved into an intelligent, user-centered system capable of real-time feedback and behavioral adaptation.
