UTILIZING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS TO DEVELOP ANALYTICAL THINKING IN PEDAGOGY STUDENTS

The cultivation of analytical thinking is a cornerstone of modern pedagogical education, enabling future educators to evaluate complex situations, design evidence-based interventions, and make reflective instructional decisions. This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools as instruments to develop analytical thinking in pedagogy students. AI-enabled platforms—including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning modules, and data-driven analytical applications—provide real-time feedback, scaffolded problem-solving scenarios, and personalized learning experiences that actively engage students in higher-order cognitive processes. By leveraging these technologies, educators can monitor students’ reasoning strategies, identify misconceptions, and facilitate iterative refinement of analytical skills. The study synthesizes insights from cognitive science, educational psychology, and AI-enhanced pedagogical methods to examine the theoretical foundations and practical applications of AI in fostering analytical competence. Results demonstrate that AI tools not only assess cognitive processes but also mediate the development of reflective, strategic, and data-informed decision-making abilities, thereby preparing pedagogy students for complex educational contexts and professional challenges.
