Abstract

This article aims to study theonyms, which belong to the field of Uzbek onomastics. For this reason, issues concerning the study of Uzbek onomastic units and the linguistic study of theonyms in historical texts are examined. The meanings of religious concepts and names such as Khudo (God), Alloh (Allah), Khudovandi, Odam Ato (Father Adam), and Momo Havo (Mother Eve) found in historical texts are analyzed through examples. Is'hoqkhon Ibrat's prose works were selected as the object of the study.
