Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most transformative technologies in education, significantly influencing the methods and practices of English Language Teaching (ELT). AI-powered educational tools offer personalized learning experiences, adaptive assessment, immediate feedback, and interactive learning environments that support the development of language proficiency. This article explores the role of Artificial Intelligence in English language teaching, examining its pedagogical benefits, classroom applications, challenges, and implications for teachers and learners. The study argues that AI should be viewed as an instructional assistant that enhances teaching effectiveness rather than replacing teachers. The successful integration of AI into English language education requires digital literacy, methodological competence, and responsible implementation.
