This thesis explores the methodological foundations for investigating the speech genre of invitation/offer in English and Uzbek communicative cultures. The research demonstrates that invitation constitutes a culturally conditioned speech genre whose linguistic and pragmatic characteristics can only be fully understood through an interdisciplinary methodological framework. The paper proposes a comprehensive model for studying invitation speech acts within different communicative cultures.
