Bugungi kunda shaharlashtirish jarayoni global miqyosda tez sur'atlar bilan rivojlanmoqda. Bu jarayon atrof-muhit va inson salomatligiga jiddiy ta'sir ko'rsatmoqda. Ushbu tadqiqot shaharlarni ekologik jihatdan toza va yashash uchun qulay qilish masalasini o'rganadi. Natijalar shuni ko'rsatadiki, yashil infratuzilma, qayta tiklanadigan energiya manbalari, samarali chiqindi boshqaruvi va aqlli transport tizimlari shaharlarning ekologik holatini yaxshilashda muhim rol o'ynaydi.
