Abstract

This article explores the key principles of humanistic pedagogy developed by American psychologist and educator Carl Rogers and examines their relevance to contemporary educational practices. Central concepts such as the learner-centered approach, unconditional positive regard, empathy, and self-actualization are analyzed as foundational elements of Rogers’ educational philosophy. Through a review of relevant literature, the paper highlights the influence of humanistic principles on creating an educational environment that fosters student engagement, emotional well-being, and personal growth. The study also discusses the practical implications, benefits, and challenges of integrating Rogers' ideas into modern classrooms. The findings suggest that Rogers’ approach significantly contributes to enhancing students’ intrinsic motivation, independent thinking, and holistic development.
