Abstract

The 1990s were marked by the political collapse of the former Soviet Union and the emergence of sovereign republics that historically had their own statehood. So, this process also happened in Central Asia, and the states of the region declared their sovereignty one by one. This was a historic event, and as a result, the republican governments in the region faced a number of issues to address from a historical perspective and related to the new statehood.
