In recent years, the importance of learning English in Uzbekistan has increased significantly due to social, economic, and educational reforms. English has become a key tool for international communication, academic mobility, and professional development. The Uzbek government has introduced large-scale policies and programs aimed at improving foreign language education, especially English, at all levels of the educational system. This article examines the main reasons behind the rapid growth of English language learning in Uzbekistan, including educational reforms, globalization, technological development, and labor market demands. It also discusses the impact of these changes on schools, universities, teachers, and students, as well as the challenges that still remain in the process of developing effective English language education.
