Abstract

The United Nations (UN) plays a pivotal role in promoting and protecting human rights worldwide. Established in 1945, the UN has developed a comprehensive framework for safeguarding human dignity, freedom, and equality. Through its various bodies, treaties, and mechanisms, the UN addresses human rights violations, supports humanitarian efforts, and encourages international cooperation. This article explores the role of the UN in human rights protection, its major organs and instruments, challenges faced in enforcement, and the importance of global collaboration for achieving human rights objectives.
