Biologik faol qo‘shimchalar (BFQ) – bu organizmning fiziologik va metabolik jarayonlarini qo‘llab-quvvatlash, sog‘liqni saqlash va kasalliklarni oldini olishda yordam beruvchi tabiiy yoki yarim tabiiy moddalar hisoblanadi. Ushbu qo‘shimchalar vitaminlar, minerallar, aminokislotalar, o‘simlik ekstraktlari, probiotiklar, antioksidantlar va boshqa bioaktiv komponentlarni o‘z ichiga oladi. So‘nggi yillarda BFQ tibbiyot sohasida keng qo‘llanilmoqda, xususan surunkali kasalliklar profilaktikasi, immun tizimini mustahkamlash, kardiometabolik va nevrologik holatlarni qo‘llab-quvvatlash, shuningdek, jarrohlikdan keyingi reabilitatsiya davrida qo‘llashda samaradorligi ilmiy tadqiqotlar bilan tasdiqlangan. Mavzuga oid tadqiqotlar biologik faol qo‘shimchalarning samaradorligini aniqlashda randomizatsiyalangan klinik sinovlar, meta-tahlillar va epidemiologik kuzatuv usullaridan foydalanilishini ko‘rsatadi. Shu bilan birga, ularning xavfsizligi, dozalari va farmakologik o‘zaro ta’siri tibbiy nazorat ostida aniqlanishi zarur.
