Language is a carrier of culture, values, and national viewpoint in addition to being a tool for communication. When the source and destination languages come from different cultural systems, it can be extremely difficult to translate cultural concepts that are ingrained in the language. The challenges of obtaining cultural concept translational equivalency between Uzbek and English are examined in this essay. Due to variations in social norms, customs, and mentalities, the study focuses on culturally marked words, phrases, and concepts that lack direct parallels. A number of instances from ordinary and literary discourse are examined using a qualitative comparative method. The results show that translators frequently use techniques like descriptive translation, adaptation, or cultural substitution because complete equivalency is rarely possible when translating cultural concepts. The paper underlines the significance of cultural competence in translation studies and stresses that good and culturally relevant translations require an awareness of national thinking.
