Learner-centered approaches are central to modern foreign language education, emphasizing active participation, autonomy, and meaningful interaction. This study investigates their impact on learners’ communicative competence, motivation, and engagement using a mixed-methods design, including language assessments, classroom observations, and interviews. The findings show that learner-centered instruction significantly enhances speaking and listening skills, fosters autonomy, and increases classroom engagement. The results also highlight the importance of teacher guidance and formative feedback to support effective learning. Overall, learner-centered pedagogy is an effective and adaptable framework for contemporary foreign language teaching.
