This article examines socio-economic and institutional mechanisms aimed at supporting the labour market participation of women with young children on the basis of a comparative sociological analysis. The study compares policies and practical mechanisms implemented in European countries, East Asian states, and Uzbekistan, and analyses their effectiveness. The findings of the comparative analysis indicate that flexible forms of employment, a well-developed preschool education infrastructure, and social policies promoting gender equality play a decisive role in retaining women with young children in the labour market. The article formulates practical conclusions and policy recommendations for adapting these international experiences to the context of Uzbekistan.
