Biz badiiy asar tahliliga kirishar ekanmiz, avvalo, tasvirlanayotgan va badiiy idrok etilayotgan narsani farqlay olishimiz zarur. Negaki, adabiy asarlarda bu ikkisi doim ham aynan emas: bir narsa tasvirlangani holda boshqa narsa idrok etilishi mumkin. Shu bois ham badiiy asar mazmuni unda tasvirlanayotgan hamda idrok etilayotgan narsalar birligida tushuniladi.
