This paper analyzes the representation of the female image in English and Uzbek literary discourse from linguopragmatic and cognitive perspectives. It explores how language use in context and mental models contribute to shaping female characters. The study highlights that English literature increasingly portrays women with independence and individuality in modern works. In contrast, Uzbek literature reflects a balance between traditional values and gradual transformation of female roles. The research also provides a comparative analysis of similarities and differences between the two literary traditions.
