Obesity remains one of the most significant medical and social problems of modern healthcare, accompanied by the development of metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, and cardiovascular complications. Despite the widespread introduction of conservative treatment methods, only surgical interventions on the gastrointestinal tract ensure pronounced and persistent weight loss in patients with morbid obesity.
