The rapid expansion of digital technologies and global communication networks has significantly transformed educational environments and information exchange processes. In this context, media competence has become one of the essential competencies required for effective participation in modern society. This article examines the opportunities for developing media competence through web technologies in contemporary educational systems. The research analyzes the theoretical foundations of media competence, identifies the pedagogical potential of web technologies, and explores the role of digital platforms in fostering critical thinking, information literacy, communication skills, and digital culture. The study is based on systematic, competency-based, and constructivist approaches.
