В этой статье рассматриваются недостатки использования эпонимической терминологии, путаница, возникающая при именовании болезней ученых с одинаковыми фамилиями; отклонение именитых существительных от их собственного значения; ошибки, возникающие при чтении эпонимов, то есть отсутствие в них транскрипции; а преимущества заключаются в том, что мы можем выразить наш язык простым и лаконичным словом или фразой, а также в том, что имена людей, которые упорно трудились на пути к науке, об увековечивании.
