FORMATION PROCESSES OF MUSIC IN CENTRAL ASIA

Abstract

This article discusses the development of musical culture, musical thinking, and musicology in Central Asia during the period of Amir Temur and the Timurids. The study analyzes the role of folk music, musical treatises, and the scientific views of great scholars in the formation of Uzbek national musical art. Particular attention is paid to the contributions of Abu Nasr Farabi, Safiuddin Urmawi, Abdul Qadir Maroghi, and Abdurahman Jami to music theory. The article also highlights the development of musical performance, composition, musical education, and the spiritual and educational significance of national music during the Timurid era.
