Abstract

This article examines age-related mechanisms and factors in the development of the creative potential of primary school students. The relevance of the study is determined by the necessity of fostering creative thinking in children within the modern educational environment. The purpose of the research is to identify age-related characteristics and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of creative abilities in primary school pupils. The study employed both theoretical and empirical research methods, including analysis of scientific literature, observation, testing, questionnaires, analysis of students’ creative products, and a pedagogical experiment. The research was conducted among children of primary school age. The results of the study demonstrated that primary school age is a favorable period for the development of creative potential. It was established that the use of game-based technologies, problem-solving tasks, project activities, and group forms of learning contributes to the development of imagination, flexibility of thinking, and originality of ideas in children. The pedagogical experiment confirmed the effectiveness of creative teaching methods. After the implementation of special tasks aimed at developing creativity, an increase in the number of students with a high level of creative thinking was observed. The obtained results indicate the necessity of creating a favorable educational environment and applying innovative pedagogical technologies for the development of the creative potential of primary school students.
