This article examines code-switching among Uzbek bilingual learners in EFL contexts as both a communicative necessity and a strategic pedagogical tool. It analyzes the cultural, linguistic, and social drivers of language alternation while weighing its benefits for comprehension against potential risks to English proficiency. By proposing specific teacher training and classroom strategies, the study demonstrates how leveraging students' native linguistic resources can foster a more inclusive and effective learning environment.References
